Bill Cassidy is a partner at Johnson & Cassidy. He has extensive experience in complex commercial actions including litigating under the Lanham Act and other intellectual property statutes, the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, the Securities Exchange Act, Title III of the ADA, negotiating and litigation restrictive covenants and noncompetition agreements, as well as general commercial disputes governed by federal and state law. Bill also represents management clients in employment law, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, representation of employers before the NLRB on matters involving concerted activity, and both Florida and federal whistleblower laws.

In addition to his experience in private practice, Bill was a law clerk for the Honorable James D. Whittemore, Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Bill received his J.D. from The University of North Carolina School of Law where he served as Circulation Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and authored “Universal Service in a Competitive Telecommunications Environment,” 25 N.C.J. Int’l. L. & Com. Reg. 108. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with distinction in 1996, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History.
